Have you ever asked yourself: am I really me? Am I really being me? Or am I what others want me to be? It is very important to be you!

Are you really living your life? Are you really you? Are you living the life you want to live? Or are you living a life of illusion as so many do?

You can only pretend for so long. You can only hide for so long. You can only run so far. You can only act for so long and then a breakdown will follow. The make-up will melt or has to come off and you will see the real you in the mirror

Have you noticed of how even successful people are not happy? Have you noticed the list of people who supposedly had it all even take their life away or ruin it by self-destructive activities or behaviour?

Why is that?

They never learned to be who they really are or to be happy within themselves. They thought that exterior things would bring them happiness and so they pretended to be what others expected from them. They tried to please others instead of themselves.

Money, sex, fame, possessions, the life of luxury, women, men, children: none of these or all of these wasn’t enough to give them satisfaction, happiness, or even a good night’s sleep.

They had to resort to pills for everything. They took a pill for this and a pill for that and a pill that and one too many pills that finally did them in. A few of the most famous casualties were: Marylin Monroe; dead at 36, Elvis Presley; dead at 42, and Michael Jackson; dead at 51. They we envied by millions but died in misery.

If you are happy with being you and happy inside your skin then it doesn’t matter how much or how little you have. You don’t have to be a king or a queen because you have all that you need right inside of you: The happiness of being you!
