They say that the largest Filipino workers around population of 1,019,577 are found in Saudi Arabia, and in year 2006 alone, another 223,000 Filipino workers are additionally recruited, and the numbers are still increasing up to now.

Comment:
Why a Filipino work here in their own country while they have an opportunity to work on a foreign land like Saudi Arabia? And it is correct to grab that opportunity as opportunity comes to our life very rare chances.

Plenty of Filipino people living in Metro Manila Area while I watch the nightly news, they are into protest in EDSA, Mendiola, who are against foreigners with placard signs of something never support to any foreign helps, and every time that a foreign politician will visit Philippines they will again gather in groups to protest as against the foreign help, but if you look, observe daily life into the Philippine Immigration Center, Filipinos are very determined to stay there and sacrifice their time 24/7 just to work abroad.

I think another misinterpretation to say that they are considered as a modern day heroes because Filipinos are not serving their own country anymore.
A Filipino term for “Tangkilikin ang sariling atin” which means “Support and Honor God and Country the Philippines, and buy only Philippine Made Products”; but what the Filipino did is to serve those Foreign Countries as we Filipino’s only help those countries to be more develop and powerful.

Impressive statement of the Filipino nurses who worked here in the Philippine Hospitals because they want to server their own country rather than work and serve foreign countries.

Therefore, a true Modern Day Filipino Heroes are the Filipino workers who worked here in their home country rather than in a foreign country.

This applies also to those none-Filipinos, who work for their own country, while living on their own country, while serving their own country; and they shall call a Modern Day Heroes too.
