Imagination And Creativity

In imagination are wonders
the mental muscles know no
bounds, limitless capacity
and an exploration of the
infinite, like the universe.

What keeps us from straying
into the deeper bowels of
this receptacle unenclosed
is the external finite world.

The measureless and the
immeasurable, thoughts roam
freely within, eyes closed, in a
dream wide awake.

Images, they float randomly
and at my command. I shape
them at will, though they show
better when grotesque.

In the bizarre are images the
world we create dance a new
creation, like you carve a
violin out of a granite stone.

Or in the wildness of our
phantasm is conjured up the
majestic castle in which as
Gods we all reign supreme.

An array of thoughts parade
before our mind, a leaf in
constant motion with the
breeze, a still photo to twist.

Imagine you and me, scorched
by the sun on a beach so blue,
then making love beneath the
cool glow of the moonlight.

The essence and the words
mingle in our entranced states,
what would ever hold you and
me from being intertwined?

Time, it doesn't exist or limit
in imagination enfolding, grief
and sadness have no place
in the world of my creation.
