Social traits are develop through your family. These are traits that are acceptable to your family. Friendliness, consideration, and kindness are social traits.
A person’s personality is made up of strengths and weaknesses. Your talents, potentials, and good traits compose your strengths. Undesirable traits makeup your weaknesses which may either be physical, social, mental, and emotional. You will be able to understand other members of the family and bring out harmonious relationships with them if you are aware of your inherited and acquired traits, as well as your strengths and weaknesses. To know your strength and weaknesses, you may ask your parents and other family members to describe your specific strengths and weaknesses. A person may sometimes find it difficult to accept your weak traits. A sign of maturity is understanding and accepting yourself. A mature person accepts things beyond his or her power to change.

To enhance your strengths and overcome your weaknesses, you should work on your potentials or capabilities. For instance, your culinary skill will be enhanced if you enroll in a cooking class or enter in a culinary school. It shall be honed in food service establishment.

A person should overcome his or her weaknesses for several reasons. First, weaknesses may result in conflict and differences between family members and friends. Not all family members and peer can always tolerate and understand your temper tantrums. If you have your temper over an innocent joke, friends will resent you. You will gain more enemies of you easily pick up fights with people who displease you.
Second, weaknesses may prevent you and hinder your growth and development from achieving your goals. They act as obstacles and hinder your growth and development. Third, a person has to feel good about himself or herself. Personality weaknesses like being temperamental, shy, or abrasive should be controlled. it is not easy for you to control your weaknesses, and may take quite some time but once you have overcome your weaknesses, you will eventually feel good about yourself.
