How to Select Engineering College To Join?

There are various engineering branches. Surely there may exist some doubts in mind of readers that which branch is best or which to follow. About 90% of engineering students may asked this question to others during the admission time. Here I am going to explain about the various engineering branches and their scopes.

We know there are many branches in this course. But here I am going to specify only the main sections namely computer science, mechanical, electronics, electrical and civil engineering. There is a miss concept exist is that electronics engineering is the best choice. Is it true? No, we cannot say that one branch is over other. It depends on the institution in which you are studying and the interest you possess to that subject. Suppose I had some interest on civil engineering and I hate programming. Then any one can guess what will happen to my career if I opted computer science engineering.

Some may say “yeh, I got admission to engineering, so I will get a good job”. This is also not true. You will not get a job by joining to engineering. You need to attend in the campus interview for getting a good job. There are many students getting to engineering per year. But just 30% of them gets a good job. Why this happens?. This happens due to the improper selection of college. Suppose if gets engineering admissions at an IIT, then ok, we can say that there is more chance for him to get a job. But some low grade institutions offers engineering, which will be of zero validity. So what I mean is that the popularity of the college is very important.

Suppose if one may got admission for civil engineering in IIT, but he doesn’t like civil engineering. Then I am advising him not to select that course by IIT’s attraction. He may opt his favourite course even if he gets that course in some institution which is below IIT.
