Liver cirrhosis is a kind of dangerous disease. If the liver cells die, they won’t be repaired anymore. Moreover, there are still ways to prevent and somehow relieve liver cirrhosis.

Damaged liver of people with cirrhosis are often unable to cope with large amount of fat. Because this is the damaged liver has difficulty making bile which is necessary for fat digestion. Those with cirrhosis should avoid the fatty foods. The meat and dairy products such as hard cheeses should be avoided. Another food that must also be avoided are spices like barbeque.

The patients with advanced cirrhosis may experience edema. Thus, the patient must reduce consumption in salt or sodium.

Common cause of cirrhosis is the excessive drinking of alcohol. Other causes of cirrhosis are viral hepatitis, malnutrition, chronic inflammation and blockage of the ducts in the liver.

When the disease gradually progresses, the liver will have scar tissue which affects it’s role of eliminating toxins in the blood. The person may experience swelling in the upper part of the abdomen, experience constipation and diarrhea, vomiting, loss of appetite and unexplained weight loss. They may also have jaundice or yellow discoloration of the skin. The symptoms also include edema and anemia as well as bledding.

The first thing to be able to recover from this disease is immediately avoiding drinking alcohol which is commonly the root cause of liver cirrhosis. It is also appropriate to eat complex carbohydrates which include rice, potatoes, bread and pasta wholegrain, vegetables, fresh fruit, fish and eggs.
