How to pass an Exam/Test

A guide to getting a passing/substantial mark on a test or exam.

Have you been stumped with a quiz? Is that exam really getting under your skin? Afraid you won't pass? Well not to worry. As a University student myself, I have faced many challenging tests and exams throughout my college years. Here's a few tips as to writing a test.

A mistake that many people make is studying the day before. You realize that the exam is tomorrow and you forgot to study. So you grab your books and start to study. WRONG! You should always be aware of when your tests will take place and study beforehand. Studying beforehand has helped me a great deal in my years through University. Start focusing on different concepts and put them together like a puzzle. Being exposed to certain things before they take place allows your brain to focus and concentrate upon the exam itself. 

Limiting your belief is a No!No! Through high school, I always believed that I would fail every exam. This seemed to affect my actual test scores. My tip would be to look as that passing mark as an achievement. Even though the percentage might be low, it is always best to be able to pass rather than fail. 

Taking notes are an important part in the success of a student. Prepare for exams through a way of notes that you can easily recall during an exam. Then revise these notes as they will be helpful through your exam. These will also help you achieve that mark that you are aiming for. 

Examiners are very picky sometimes! Make sure that when you are writing the exam, that you see for any spelling errors. Along with that check your writing style and grammar ( For Essays) Make sure that your writing is legible and understandable. As a teacher towards many peers, I have noticed many awkward spelling mistakes and writing that is not understandable. Also try to allocate 10 minutes from your exam to check through your paper. 

I believe that I have passed on many of my tips to you. Whether it be through studying beforehand, taking notes, checking over your work, etc, these tips may come useful in your lives.
