This is my recipe for how to mix a classic 1950’s Moscow Mule cocktail.  The Moscow Mule cocktail is very easy to mix and gives you a great tasting cocktail you will make and enjoy again and again over the years.

The Moscow Mule was invented in the USA by John G. Martin of G.F. Heublein Brothers, Inc, an East Coast spirits and food distributor, and John Morgan, President of Cock 'n' Bull Products, who made Ginger Beer in 1941.

The Moscow Mule cocktail reached the height of it’s popularity in the USA during the 1950’s, but still offers drinkers a very tasty and refreching cocktail today.

I have based this recipe around the vodka I personally use, please feel free to use the brand of vodka you prefer.

This quick and easy cocktail comprising of just three ingredients is one of my personal favourites and I really hope you all enjoy it as much as I do.

Ingredients

2oz of Absolut vodka

The juice of half a freshly squeezed lime

Ginger beer

Method

In a 12oz glass, add a generous helping of ice and the freshly squeezed lime juice.

Next you need to add the vodka and give it all a good stir.

Top up with ginger beer and enjoy.
