How to Make a Firefly Cocktail

The firefly cocktail is a great starter cocktail, which is both easy to make and tastes great. The firefly cocktail makes a great addition to any cocktail recipe and is perfect for a summer party or bbq.

The firefly cocktail is made using just three ingredients vodka, grapefruit juice and grenadine & requires no cocktail mixing equipment, which makes it perfect for those new to mixing cocktails.

My recipe for how to mix a firefly cocktail.I have based this recipe around the vodka I personally use, please feel free to use the brand of vodka you prefer.

The firefly cocktail if based on the grayhound cocktail with the addition of a sweet kick of grenadine and is sure to be a big hit at any party.

Ingredients

2 oz of Absolut Vodka

5 oz of Grapefruit Juice

1 oz of Grenadine

Method

Get a 12oz glass and add a generous helping ice.

Mix the vodka and grapefruit juice with ice and strain into the glass.

Pour in the grenadine slowly and allow to settle.

Gently stir in the grenadine so that it flouts up from the bottom and serve.

Now all that is left to do is sit back, relax and enjoy your firefly cocktail.
