The Absolut slushie is the ultimate cocktail to cool you off in the summer sun. The Absolut slushie is made by combining freshly squeezed lemon and lime juice with premium vodka to give a great frozen coctail, perfect for those long hot summer days.
As with all good recipes the Absolut slushie cocktail came about when I was playing about on a hot summers day. The cocktail is based loosely on a lemonade/lemon and lime style drink with the added bonus of a good slug of Vodka.
I have based and named my cocktail around Absolut vodka as it is my preferred choice when it comes to vodka, but please feel free to use you own favorite vodka if you prefer. You will need a blender for this recipe, I find that a small hand held blender is perfect for the job.
Ingredients
2oz of Absolut Vodka
Juice of one lemon
Juice of one lime
Teaspoon of sugar
One cup of ice
Method
Mix all the ingredients together in a blender and blend until the ice becomes a slush
Pour into a chilled highball glass
Sit back and enjoy your Absolut slushie cocktail.
