How long has iWriter been around?

Iwriter is a website that offers writers access to individually paying article projects.  The site is fairly new, but boasts a large number of writers and completed projects.  So, just how long has it actually been around?

Though iWriter’s website doesn’t give much information about how long they’ve been around, sources say the website opened to the public sometime around August 2011. That means the site is less than a year old. So, is this a good thing or a bad thing? Honestly, I think it’s both. Since it’s such a new site, there is less competition for individual jobs (though you wouldn’t know it on a Monday afternoon). If you’re looking to start making a name for yourself in the writing world and don’t have a lot of experience or are simply looking for a way to start writing for money, this site could be exactly what you need.

However, there are drawbacks to the site being so new. Thought the interface is fairly user friendly and has made some serious improvements within the year, there is still a great deal of room for improvement. The search function has very few options, the board itself can be a little glitchy, and there are some serious issues with writer/client communication. However, the fact that you can simply open a job and begin working, the easy approval, and the frequent payouts make iwriter still one of the best places to write for money online.
