How I set goals for ExpertsColumn and realize them

There are many ways of setting goals and all can be different for different people. Experts advise to write down the goals on a paper instead of only visualizing them in the air. The physical form gives it a sort of reality and the subliminal mind starts working in the more positive way.

I have done something similar for setting and realizing my goals here at ExpertsColumn. I would like to discuss them with other fellow writers so that it could help them in performing better at the site here as well. I found them very effective and have been using them every month.

There are 50 items in the list on one page in the stats category. So my first aim is to see to it that all of the 50 articles are viewed at least 100 times. So that makes it a minimum of 5000 views. For July, I had set this target as June was coming to an end. I had about 55 articles that had at least 100 views.

A majority of them were viewed more than 150 times. Some were in the high 180s and 190s and even more than 200. So I targeted articles which I thought would do well. I also wrote about some hot news along the way. Some of them were so popular that I got even 100 views for one single article in a day apart from my other views.

As I had said in my previous article, hyper linking plays an important role in increasing traffic. People are interested in moving on to the next related article if they find the stuff interesting. I can say it from myself as I also move to that related article if the link exists.

Set smaller dreams to start with and work hard, I am sure you will also be speaking of increased page views in a short time.
