Do you remember Audrey Hepburn? Those doe eyes, that beautiful smile, the ever so memorable all black with the soft pink ballet shoes fashion. In this article I’m going to tell you how to get that look. I will break it down for you in steps:
Step 1: The eyes- Take your favorite mascara, (however, I would recommend anything from L’Oreal if you’re on a low budget it’s by far the best in my experience.), and apply to the outer upper lashes. Don’t go crazy with your up there you should only be focusing on the lashes closest to your hairline not the ones near your nose! Take the wand and gently blink on to it. While allowing it to dry you should begin applying the mascara to your lower lashes. On your lower lashes you should be applying the mascara on all of the lashes unlike the top portion. When you finish, apply a second coat of mascara to your top lashes and make sure that you separate them well. You can separate your lashes either with a lash comb or with your finger. Though I’d seriously recommend using the lash comb, the same follows for the lower lashes. If you get some make up under your eyes where you don’t want it take a q-tip and gently remove it.
Step 2: The lips- Take a very subtle lip liner and only apply to the upper corners of your top lip. The subtlety of the color you select is extremely important. Be sure that the color is very close to matching your natural lip color. By applying the lip liner to the top corners of your lips and blending it a bit you will have created a fuller sexier pout for your lips. But step back and be sure it looks natural. You should remember that less is more when it comes to make up. You can apply as much as you’d like but make sure it enhances your look and doesn’t look like a mask.
½ step- Add some clear nail polish to your nails somewhere in here.
Now that you’ve got the beautiful separated full lashes and the pout it’s time to work on your hair and wardrobe:
Step 3: The wardrobe- I would just recommend a simple black tank top and some black skinny jeans and call it a day. You would be shocked at the beauty in simplicity. For the shoes though, I’d just get a ballet flat to add a pop of color. This is if you realllly want to look like Audrey though if you want to add a bit of you in the mix, wear what, ever shoes you’d like. But I would suggest that you keep it simple!
Step 4- Tie your hair in a sleek ponytail or bun and show everyone your new make over and your beautiful face. And note that by keeping it all so simple you are now drawing more people to you and not the make up you’re wearing. Feel sexy and confident with out over doing it!
