I'll admit that I am pretty late to the party, but I have finally realized just how amazing the marketing tool of social networking sites can play on the growth and expansion of pretty much any business you may have online or off. From bloggers to retail shop owners, the benefits of establishing a solid Youtube, Twitter and Facebook account can make a huge difference in whether your business thrives or fails.

Consider the fact that Facebook, Youtube and Twitter are ranked in the top 10 highest trafficked sites in the entire world and it is easy to see why they play such a vital role in business today.

For years I simply didn't think that I had anything to gain from getting in on the social networking hype and I know there are still many of you out there that still think that or just don't know where to begin, but once you get into it I promise it will make a world of difference. It could take a lot of hard work at the beginning, but once you are able to establish a following, you will reap the benefits.

Probably one of the easiest ways to get things going for you would be if you are able to somehow make a "how to" video on YouTube that ties in with your business. For example, a contractor could make videos on how to install a window or a lawyer could make a video on how to file a small claims lawsuit. You could also simply make videos outlining your business and what you have to offer people. There really is no excuse why you can't make a simple video to convey yourself to the world audience.

In order to get your video some recognition at first, you can ask your current clients to subscribe to your channel and watch you videos and you can also visit other channels with similar themes and see if you can collaborate with them in any way to drum up new subscribers.

From there you can start up a Facebook, Twitter and even blogging accounts and repeat the same processes there and make sure to link all of your sites together so that they will create a combined marketing force and allow you to get even more followers.

The best part of all of this is that you can do this all for free or you can pay others to help you as much or as little as you can afford. Even better is that most of those sites have features that you can get paid for viewers so you might open up a whole new income stream for yourself this way as well. Either way it will open up a whole new world of potential customers for you to reach.
