Are you interested in entering the United States illegally? Then you must not miss the Olentangy Liberty High. The Olentangy Liberty High, which is a public school in Ohio, United States has created headlines as students were taught how to enter into the United States illegally.
Can you believe this story? I find it an interesting story and that is why I thought I should share it on here. There is no doubt that the teaching of students how to enter the United States illegally raised eyebrows all over the United States.
What happened at the Olentangy Liberty High school was that the students there were asked to pretend that they were Latinos. Having taken the identification of Latinos, then they were taught how to go about entering the United States illegally, forge documents and stay under the radar. According to the school’s officials, the school project was to enlighten students on the plights of illegal immigrants or aliens in the United States. The school officials said that they hoped that having gone through this project, their students might end up feeling some empathy for illegal aliens.
The school project reportedly took students through crossing the United States border and forging requisite documents and papers that they would need to live in the United States illegally. The project also educated students on how to survive in the United States having entered. The students were taught how to find food to eat and even how to go about finding accommodation. According to school officials, the issue of illegal immigration to the United States is an extremely serious humanitarian issue which needs to be looked at carefully. I totally side with what the school was aiming to achieve, for illegal immigrants in the United States don’t have it easy at all. They go through a lot of hardship just to make ends meet.
But it is sad to know that many portray them as nuisance to society. It is quite through that some illegal immigrants engage in vices that harm society, but truth is the majority of them are just hardworking people who have come to the United States to try and change their lives for the better.
