1. Download and install WinRar. (Easy)(Link Below)
2. Download the Too Many Items mod from the link above.
3. Open it with WinRar.
4. Extract all files.
5. Click the windows logo button on the keyboard along with the letter r on the keyboard. Windows program “Run” should show up.
6. Type %appdata% -Click Enter-
7. there should be a file named .minecraft.
8. Open this and inside should be another folder named "Bin".
9. Open Bin, then there will be a folder “Minecraft.jar” ( you might not see the .jar)
10. Open Minecraft.jar with WinRar.
11. Delete the file “readme” in the Too Many Items folder.
12. Drag all the files from the Too Many Items folder to the Minecraft.jar folder using WinRar.
13. Inside the Minecraft.jar folder, there will be another folder named META-INF. Delete this, and run the game.
14. ENJOY!

- Minecraft was once again updated, now it is much easier to get the mod working. All you have to do is drag all the files from toomanyitems into "bin." Bin is the folder inside the .minecraft folder in %appdata%.
PS : Hope this helped, this was pretty difficult for me the first couple of times. Many of the tutorials out there dont include step 9 so i ended up dragging all the files to .minecraft. You can buy the game by going to www.minecraft.net You can also play the classic version of Minecraft, the building version, for free on www.minecraft.net

i have no minecraft folder after clicking bin what do i do!
for all of you pressing "o" it is actually "e". And would 7 zip work too?
This is basically the way you install most mods. Piece of advice though, make a backup of the minecraft.jar file before you go around editing it.
If you can't find the mod, simply do a Google search.

i don't have .jar
Some of the files you talked about weren't there. e.g readme and META-INF
if readme and META-INF are not there the mod should still be working fine, those two files are not needed in modifying the game.

you SHOULD pay for the game as it is very unexpensive, but if you want to, just google search "cracked minecraft download" and I'm sure many sites will show up to download, just make sure the site is legit and not attatched to viruses.

i followed everything but every time i open up a map and press the "o" key its wont show

sigh that is impossible if you didnt have a bin folder minecraft would not work i can undownload and redownload toomany items in mere minutes it is the simplest one to get but make shure to delete meta inf tho but its as simple as that drag and drop
