To some, writing is one of the most difficult things to do. Let’s face it, it does take a creative mind to sit down and come up with ideas. Many people try and start to write, but they find themselves rather frustrated. A lack of patience has been the key downfall to many ideas, as individuals who think too big end up tripping over their feet.
There are many success stories you hear but there are just as many failures. Successes in writing also had one thing in common. They were not afraid to experiment and tweak with the writing process. Writers of this nature went to various websites, perhaps wrote a bit here and there. They made corrections.
To become a good writer is to see what works best for you. There are some people who have various interests out there. However, what worked for one person, may not work for another. You have to develop your own style, with your own voice. Obviously you should study others. It is unwise to develop habits where you would directly copy them. As that would be plagiarism which we know is wrong.
Tips will be received by writers. With that fact in mind, it would be quite unwise to overanalyze the entire situation. The folly of many writers is that they think too much, too big, and too soon If a writer does not exhibit patience, then they will fail big time. They will get a bunch of ideas and trip over them.
Also I bring you a word to the wise about spelling and grammar structure? Is it something that you should follow? Yes, it would be useful in many ways as people tend to like things they can read. However, the key to writing is that you may want to break the rules. Every now and again, there comes a time where you might need to tweak it.
Just do not really overdo it. There are times where you get away with one or two points of grammar. Just do not go too far.
In the end, the best advice I can give to writers is to take things one step at a time. Try things, and be patience as you try them. You may find something that works, or you may find that your way needs changing.
Writing is all about taking chances and making risks. All in the name of the writer developing their own style.
