How to prepare tasty french fries
After collecting all the tools and ingredients I have mentioned above you are ready for preparing the French Fries.
Start your recipe by peeling the potatoes.
Just take a large bowl normally bowl for the mixing. In that mixing bowl put corn syrup mentioned above, sugar and hot water taking all to the quantity mentioned in the ingredients. Then mix or combine the stuff so till the sugar in the mixing bowl gets completely dissolved.
Now dealing with the most important part , take your french fry potato cutter and cut potatoes in the shape of shoestring of 1/4" x 1/4" thickness and 5" to 6" long in length.Just place potatoes cut in the shape of shoestrings into mixing bowl containing dissolved sugar-water. Allow the mixture to refrigerate for atleast 35 minutes.
Till the time take your crisco shortening and pack it into deep fryer.Heat the shortening in the deep fryer to a temperature say (full) for very long time till it liquifies (380°).Put the potatoes into the deep fryer. After 2 minutes, remove the potatoes and let them cool for 10 minutes in the refrigerator.
In the meantime just add beef drippings to the hot Crisco. At the same full temperature stir lard so that it melts into the oil. Add the potatoes and deep fry again to a temperature of 400° for 5-7 minutes. After deep frying it to 5-7 minutes a color appears which looks like golden brown.
Remove the potatoes and just place the cooked stuff into the large bowl . Now just sprinkle salt and toss so that fries gets mix. Serve hot and enjoy!
