ABOUT BEES

-the bee’s wings stroke incredibly fast , about 11000 times per minute, thus making their famous, distinctive buzz.

-the bee flies up to 20 km/h
-do you think that the bee has two eyes??? well , not ….. it has 5 eyes
-in the winter the bees feed themselves with the honey which they have collected in the last warm months.In fact, they need only 15 kg to ensure that they have what to eat all the winter.
 

HOW BEES WORK

-bees can collect pollen from 50 to 100 flowers , only by going out one time from hive
-to produce 500 g honey, the bees have to visit 2 milions flowers and to fly about 88000 km
-a bee colony can produce between 30 and 50 kg honey per year
-in peak harvesting season, a strong hive count about 50 000 bees

-to fly around the world, a bee needs the energy from 30g honey
