I've been at Expertscolumn for less than a one year. Compared to other sites I've written for, it so far has been the most rewarding. It's not just so much that I make a great deal of residuals on the site, for I do not. It is also not due to the site's guidelines that I do not make a substantial income, but the guidelines I have set myself. These guidelines were first to finally complete my goal of writing at least 500 articles from scratch for one site.

When I joined the site, I didn't really take into consideration the fact that it is a site where authors repost previously published articles. It may have been one of the disadvantages for my work, since the site because of its posting policies, puts it in a different ranking system. That system is first, I think comparing it to other sites that allows reposting. Ironically, it outranks the others that follow the same protocol. Yet in still, for someone starting from scratch, it makes me wonder how it affects the ranking of one's original firstly published articles here. There is also the fact that I am an American writer on an Indian published website. That could have both advantages and disadvantages perhaps: for me it has been more it has been rewards that money cannot pay.

Rewards being a member of Expertscolumn for me include in part, the wonderful international conversations I have managed to have with many people I would never have had the pleasure to have in private messages. The inspirational and friendly conversations have come in the form of even speaking various languages with members that normally, I just would not have had the opportunity. I love helping others also when I can be assistance. Opportunities at Expertscolumn I have had to assist newer writers, I would not have been able to unless at a brick and mortar establishments that obviously would cost me the time just to do so in travel.

All in all, I am glad I joined Expertscolumn. I have met my goal, actually past it. I know have over 500 articles I can now categorize in various areas of thought for whatever I want in the future. I have proven to myself that I can manage to create a homebase for helping to inform others about world events and the importance of communication in the sense of how it affects everything that we think and do. Now that I have reached my initially writing goals, I can now concentrate again on building SEO strategies for the next set of articles I write that I will take more time on formulating while I finish more classes and build various educational networks for others. My months at Expertscolumn have confirmed for me how writing communities are no different also than neighborhoods. Every imaginable personality types one can possible expect to experience in the "real" world is not different online.

The only disadvantage about it all, unfortunately, is the lack of voice and body language. A key important variable in understanding the passion or lack thereof for example in comments one reads. There is only the ways one interprets words in texts, posts and or comments in all social media and online communities. Unfortunately, words have no personality: only the eyes, voice, facial expression and sound of one's voice matters in all communities. It is a wonderful lesson to learn and teach about online writing sites too.

Seems Sha-ron has been doing a lot of late and has plans for more. (lol). Carry on sha-ron. She appeals to the writers for assistance in making this site orderly. Sure, she will get it, as most of the writers here are very responsible.
