Rather than a large over sized entertainment center, use a smaller cabinet as tall as possible to store your videos, cards, board games and other items. Tailored upholstery and exposed legs rather than chunky ruffled pieces will make your apartment look bigger.

Neutral colors create a feeling of calm and space. If you have enough room for a window seat, they are great for storage besides making perfect seating. And don’t be too serious, place your special things around the room to see and enjoy. Whatever you do, don’t let clutter accumulate. Less stuff means less to organize and less money spent. It also means a peaceful more comfortable home. Don’t let incoming mail take up space, Take care of the important stuff and shred junk mail immediately.
