Faking Righteousness - Having a Form of Godliness !

The distorted minds and thoughts of the people made this present world formidable as predicted in the bible. The self centered nature of human is the proof of this frightening change, dare I say. As predicted in bible, the peeved inhabitants of earth are habitually becoming intolerant to almost everything. Even the barbarism and cannibalism once forgotten is staging back on earth unabated. It is appropriately desired to understand this horrendous reality while living on the face of this earth.

Word of God says in 2 Timothy 3:1-5; “You must understand this, that in the last days distressing times will come. For people will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, arrogant, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, inhuman, implacable, slanderers, profligates, brutes, haters of good, treacherous, reckless, swollen with conceit, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God – holding to the outward form of godliness but denying its power. Have nothing to do with such people”. This fighting fit verses should likely be an eye opener, rather than absorbing it indifferently.

The truth is the distractions in righteousness which is now leading many towards the pleasures and luxuries of this world. Besides, many wrong doctrines on prosperity gospel are misleading even the believers towards the greediness – a smooth guaranteed route of unrighteousness. Be reminded that fullness in spirit isn’t the fullness in our wants; instead it is the completeness of our incompleteness with the richness in Christ (Philippians 4:19). Furthermore, the biggest culprit is the ignorance in accepting the difference between ‘need’ and ‘want’, I suppose. Ask wisdom from the Lord as He will shower it without any clause or condition (James 1:5) – to learn and grow fully in the Lord.
