What is Slender Man?
Despite the horrible graphics and relatively slow gameplay, Slender Man has to be one of the best thriller/ horror games out there. It's not necessarily scary in the Chainsaw Massacre, Resident Evil, Saw III, blood and gore type of scary, but more like a game that makes you jump and paranoid.
In Slender Man, you play as a person lost in the middle of no where. Your car is broken down and you need to find a way out. As you travel, you discover that you need to collect these notes (pieces of paper taped to a wall, basically) in order to finish the game. There is a total of eight notes.
While you are playing, you have to do your best not to look into the eyes of Slender Man, or approach him. If you do your screen starts to become static.
Slender man himself isn't scary - he's just a tall, faceless man who is grossly skinny. But his mere presence is bound to scare the crap out of you. Those that have played this game for a couple of hours can feel the paranoia sink into them whenever they go out alone in the night. A game that leaves you creeped out even after playing is truly a wonderful game.
Slender Man is low budget at best, but like Paranormal Activity, you don't need high-definition graphics in your video game to get your point across.
