How to make a grilled carp:
One of our favorite foods is our home made grilled carps. I used to have a fish pond in the back yard. We had lots of carps in the pond. When they were big enough, we grilled them. To grill carps, first of all you have to take out all the fish organs and get rid of the skin scales, so you only have the fish flesh left without its scales.
Before you grill the fish, apply thin layer of butter all over the fish body, then grill the fish. Before the fish is fully cooked, apply some soy sauce to the fish as desired, and continue grilling it till is well done.
Place the grilled carp on a plate and add more soy sauce already mixed with chopped pepper and some sliced red onions. It is now ready to serve. To see what the grilled carps look like see the photo of the grilled carps at the link at the end of this column. If you like it, you can give it a try. It is very easy to do. Actually you can grill any kind of fish that you like, tuna for instance. My family loves carps as the fish is easy to obtain at the markets.
Grilled fish is best serve while it is still fresh from the grill. We usually eat grilled fish with rice and some raw vegetables that are only suitable to be eaten raw. Cooked young papaya leaves are also good to be eaten together with grilled carp.
