Golden Retriever Great Dog

A Golden Retriever is a very great dog breed. They are a medium sized dog. They have dark brown eyes. These are very loving and sweet dogs. They are also a very smart dog. They are normally very easy to train. They are wonderful and very gentle with children. They are very devoted to you and are a great fit for any family that’s why they are such popular family dogs. They will be your best friend.

They are normally really good with other dogs. They are good watchdogs and will bark if they see someone strange but will probably not attack them. Make sure they get exercise everyday like a daily walk so they have enough exercise. These dogs can do tricks and they normally love to swim.

Male golden retrievers are usually 21 to 25 inches tall and females are normally 19 to 23 inches tall. The males weigh 55-80 pounds and females usually weigh 50-70 pounds. They do gain weight very easily so you can not overfeed them. Try not to give them to much table food if at all possible.

The health problems that this breed is normally prone to are hip dysplasia, cancer, heart problems and eye problems. If can have a golden in an apartment setting but you have to make sure they get enough exercise every single day. They love to play ball and retrieve it.  They are very playful. They usually live between 9-13 years. A golden retriever is a very awesome and loyal dog.
