There is a mistaken belief that God could tolerate repeated sins and eagerly forgive them if the prayers of forgiveness offered verbally time to time. In fact, these childish thoughts and ways are the signs of an amateur rather than a true believer. In reality, without being righteous, nobody ever can experience or receive anything from God and that includes the forgiveness. Word of God says in 2 Timothy 2:11-13; “The saying is sure: if we have died with him, we will also live with him; if we endure, we will also reign with him; if we disown him, he will also disown us; if we are faithless, he remains faithful – for he cannot disown himself”.

So much to say about being unfaithful in the sight of God: as per the bible, God will deny us if we disown Him. However, He will remain faithful in His words and promises – enough for us to come back when we fail. When interpreting the word of God in 2 Timothy 2:13, many assume that God could endure unfaithfulness since He is faithful. In reality, it’s an assurance of His faithfulness towards all mankind. Behold, it is time now to understand the Word of God with its right revelation.

It is more appropriate to contemplate God’s theory of light and darkness for more clarity in righteous living. Bible declares in 1 John 1:5; “God is light and in Him there is no darkness at all”. Besides, it has been reminded in 1 Peter 1:15-16, that holiness is inevitable for reaching out to God at any given time. If we are still failing Him much and too often, it is the time to examine ourselves to find out where we stand – claiming self-righteous will not save anyone in the sight of the Lord, since He could read our hearts and minds crystal clear. Unless the true spirit of God is not present within, no one can differentiate the nature and colors of sin ever – a real weapon of the adversary for holding people to his side. Therefore, submit ourselves completely to a faithful God who is able to restore us for an everlasting life.

So true that God hates sin. It is abhorrent to him. However He is tolerant for He knows that some of us will appreciate his kindness and will change our ways. However, the time is quickly coming when his patience will run out. So, let no one delay in seeking God's mercy by getting to know God and changing any behavior that displeases God. All the best!
