Phyllis Diller is one of America's leading and first funny ladies in the 20th Century. The outspoken comedian remember for hairstyles that were as unique as outrageous as her clothing and hats compared to the general population and classic stars like Kathryn Hepburn during her comic reign were part of her comic trademark.  In fact, it was her hair that helped to ease the many truths about love, relationships, men and society that she presented in her universal jokes.

She had a peaceful death according to news reports from TMZ among others that have broadcasts she died in her sleep with her family around her.  A little over a decade ago in her 80's, Phyllis Diller suffered a heart attack in which doctors implanted a pacemaker due to the incident.  It has been released to the media that Ms. Diller had fallen recently, but her death was not related to Phyllis Diller's death today at the age of 95.

Older fans of Ms. Diller will remember her variety shows, "The Phyllis Diller Show" and "The Beautiful Phyllis Diller Show."  Baby-boomers may also remember Phyllis Diller on a show called, "Laugh In" where many stars appeared regularly including her when she would belt out her classic brash laugh, butt her eyes and flash a big bright smile.  She was famous for telling x-rated and or implied jokes about sexual orientation.  She was also a comedian that had fun with making jokes about herself, being funny looking.  Truth of the matter, when Ms. Diller took off her comic customs, she was quite a head turner, bird legs, as she called them, and all.

Ms. Diller was truly a legend and opened doors for the voice of women in comedy.  Phyllis Diller, born in 1917 in Ohio, married twice having three children from her first husband Sherwood Anderson Diller and dead from natural causes at 95 on August 20, 2012.  For a few more laughs with Phyllis Diller and pictures of the deceased comic review the attached videos.
