The Future of Madden

For those of you who remember all the other Football games that there used to be like the 2K football games and the ESPN ones you probably have good memories of them. You may have been wondering how come all of those games went away and we only have EA's Madden. Well a couple years ago the NFL signed a deal with EA so EA was the only company that has the ability to make authentic Football video games legally. This contract ended with this years Madden and the NFL will not be renewing it.

This means that 2K can come back and make their own football game that may even be better than Madden. You are probably saying that this can't happen and that you love Madden but I really do think it is possible. EA no longer makes Basketball games as 2K choked out their market but I am not sure if I really want 2 football games just like there were 2 basketball games. That means when trying to play with friends they might have the other game and it would be really difficult choosing between them.

I rather have EA and 2K work together to make the ultimate Football game but that is most likely not happening! Let me know in the comments what you think is going to happen to Madden and whether or not you think 2K will start making their own Football games!
