There are many free tools available which you can use when you’re searching for ideas to write your next article. The following are three tools you can use which are freely provided by Google. By using these tools, you can find the inspiration to write many articles.

1. Google Trends

Google Trends is a popular tool that many online writers use to seek out the latest and hottest trend online. By writing on the latest trend you can be sure that your articles will get traffic. However, don’t just report about the trend. Present the trend from a personal point of view or use a social and economic angle to write your article.

2. Google Adwords Keyword Tool

This tool is specifically used by Adwords advertisers to seek out keywords to target for their pay per click advertising. But this doesn’t mean that we cannot use it to find ideas for articles. This is one of my favorite tools to use when I want to find keywords to target for my online articles and when I want to find ideas for articles.

When you enter a topic like parenting at the keyword tool, the tool will display related keywords that you can use as topics for your articles. Parenting styles, parenting classes, parenting advice and parenting tips are all keyword phrases that you can use to write articles with.

Not only do you get suggested keywords, you also get the number of searches made on those keywords and you can therefore choose the ones that will give you the most traffic. It’s like killing two birds with one stone.

4. Google Search

This tool is used by all who has Google as their main search engine. When you go to Google and enter a word, Google would suggest other terms related to your search term. Try and enter the phrase “how to” and Google will give you all the “how to’s” that internet searchers have entered in Google.

If you really have no idea what to write about, go to Google Search and enter “how to” or “where to” or “why do” and Google will list all suggested terms. One of the items in the list might inspire you to write an article.

There are other free tools online that you can use but the above three are the best ones that Google has to offer.

Thanks for sharing this useful blog...please keep posting.

I tried only the number 2 but haven't the item on number 1 and 3. Anyway, I noticed that the numbering is not right esp. number 3. You wrote 4 instead 3.

I enjoyed reading all your posts. I think my instinct is right for following and adding you as a friend. :)
