Many people including myself have often debate whether child beauty pageant were a bad thing for children to be doing, and now former pageant star Brooke Breedwell reveals her experience.

Brooke said she hated everything about it, but her mother would insist that she compete. Brooke revealed in a interview that she would cry when she was forced to lie in tanning beds up to three times a times.

All she wanted to do was be a tomboy and go outside to play with her friends, but her mother would never allow her to do that. Brooke hated being force to were make-up and hated the pressure she was put under to win.

Brooke quit doing pageants when she was seven years old, but went back a couple of years later from her mother pressuring her to return. Her mother eventually let her daughter quit at aged 15. Brooke admits there are still problems between her and her mother due to her childhood.

‘ Its not a normal childhood for children’. Says Brooke.

I really feel sorry for Brooke, a childhood is something you can never get back. So if you don’t get the chance to be a child it can cause you problems in your adult life.
