T.G.I Fridays Prime Rib Stroganoff

There is nothing more enjoyable than sitting down to a delicious prime rib dinner. However, when you are low on funds, it is nice to sit at home and enjoy an economical microwavable prime rib dinner. The prime rib in this dinner is not as delicious as in a restaurant of course, but it is not a bad substitute.

Too much pepper.

The sauce was tangy and a little too spicy for me. It tasted like it had too much pepper in it. When I read the title of the dinner, somehow I missed the part about the added black pepper. I also had to add salt to it, to give it extra flavor. There was a fair amount of prime rib in the dinner, and the meat had a good flavor. A salad would go nicely with this dish, and make it a balanced meal.

Microwave.

The directions on the package said to put it in the microwave for five minutes altogether, but I had to put it in the microwave for 7 minutes for it to be warm enough. It has 390 calories, and 90 of the calories are from fat. This meal costs only from $4 to $6 at most grocery stores.
I would recommend this dish if you like prime rib with lots of black pepper. If you do, this is a good, fast meal to satisfy your hunger.

Add the Wine!

On a scale from one to ten, I would give it a six.
The directions suggest adding one-tablespoon sour cream, which would probably be a good idea for a better flavor and texture. Although I like the prime rib, the pepper was really over-powering. I would suggest using the sour cream, and maybe adding some wine to the sauce. Even better, I would suggest drinking quite a bit of wine before you add it to the sauce. This way it is sure to taste better!
