Time for Florida Championship Wrestling for January 8th 2012, where tonight Husky Harris and Richie Steamboat try to settle the score in a Bullrope Match. Let us take a look at all of the highlights and results from Florida Championship Wrestling 1/8/12.
Florida Championship Wrestling 1/8/12
Recap of the events leading to Richie Steamboat vs. Husky Harris later tonight in the Bullrope Match.
Kenneth Cameron defeated “Mr. Jacked” Nick Rogers
Nick Rogers=a less talented Chris Masters. The Ascension appears to be mostly dead. Well that was a waste after months of promos. Cameron gets the win easily with the camel clutch. It’s not a beautiful day in the neighborhood for Mr. Rogers.
Mike Dalton defeated Sakamoto
It seemed like a showcase for Sakamoto at first, but Dalton managed to pull out the win with a huge Impaler style DDT. Solid enough match between these two.
The Florida Tag Team Champions Briley Pierce and Brad Maddox are standing by. Next week, they have to take on Hunico and Epico from WWE, a big match and they vow to keep the titles for hundreds of years. Lofty ambitions. Pierce can’t seem to grasp that he’s no longer a reporter.
Aksana defeated Cameron Lynn
It was a diva’s match. I’ve seen worse. Aksana counters a bulldog, shoving Cameron Lynn off into the ropes and hitting an Arn Anderson Style spinebuster for the win. The Grand Royal is in two weeks, where the winner receives a Florida Heavyweight Title Shot the same night. Sounds like a big one.
Leakee and Dean Ambrose defeated The FCW 15 Champion Damien Sandow and the Florida Champion Leo Kruger
What an odd tag team match. Dean Ambrose wants respect. He has bright pink tights and purple kneepads. Between that and Kruger’s leopard print types, we have a bad fashion statement. Ambrose is crazy. Saxton says that he’s never seen a tag team match where everyone hated each other. Obviously not an Impact watcher. Fun tag team match, with Leakee hitting the checkmate on Leo Kruger to score the pin. That’s got to put him in line for a Florida Title Shot.
Husky Harris defeated Richie Steamboat
A fun old school brawl, with both men beating up each other with the bullrope and the cowbell in this bullrope match. Husky thinks that this match needs more cowbell, so he waffles Richie Steamboat right in the face for the pin. Steamboats always have bad luck with bells.
Husky Harris celebrates his win.
So long from the sunshine state.
