Champion vs. Champion takes center stage, as the FCW 15 Champion Damien Sandow takes on the FCW Champion Leo Kruger. Recap of the recent events featuring Husky Harris and Richie Steamboat on Florida Championship Wrestling.

AJ defeated Audrey Marie and Aksana

Diva’s title was not on the line. Match was fine if a bit pedestrian but AJ and Audrey are rather good and Aksana…she tries hard? Audrey hits a Nightmare on Helms Street like move, but AJ swoops in with an Oklahoma Side Roll to score the pin. AJ wins the first match in 2012 on Florida Championship Wrestling.

Leakee defeated James Bronson

A rather by the numbers match that was really a middling effort to say the very least. Leakee puts down Bronson with a huge bulldog to get the win. There you go.

Husky Harris will take on Richie Steamboat in a Bullrope Match, after their suspension concludes next week. Steamboat is all about business. It’s bad business when his opponent can’t stand but next week, it will be settled. Then a few words with Husky Harris, making Bryon Saxton, who is conducting the interview, get up in the truck with his arm in a sling. Husky calls Saxton out on calling him a lunatic and asks him if he would fight him in a bullrope match. He goes after Bryon Saxton who runs. The only thing Husky cares about is ending this one once and for all, not caring what Steamboat’s last name is.

Kevin Hackman defeated Sakamoto

Sakamoto is of course trained by former WWE Lightheavyweight Champion TAKA Michinoku and Hackman is of course the Tough Enough Winner. He might not be solid in the ring, but he’s INTENSE! He wins INTENSELY with an INTENSE side walk slam for the win. He’s intense, silent rage gets the win.

Leo Kruger defeated Damien Sandow

The Florida Champion vs. the Jack Brisco 15 Champion in the main event, and this was a good match, with a not so good crowd. Some sportsmanship in the form of a handshake between these two dastardly heels before this match. Both men pulled out some impressive moves, but you’d get more life in a morgue than out of these fans. Kruger rolls up Sandow for the pin.

Why You Should Watch Florida Championship Wrestling 1/1/12

Damien Sandow and Leo Kruger had a pretty good match, and the build up to the Bullrope Match really is great, between Richie Steamboat and Husky Harris for the January 8th 2012 FCW Show.
