As of late, I have had the most difficult time attempting to find the time and motivation to write new and inventive articles. You may have noticed that my articles are still high quality, but there are just not as many of them. Time and motivation are keys to freelance writing, and without it, there is very little money to be made. Sadly, I have been lacking both lately, between final projects and graduation preparations: I am too tired and too busy to write.

I have also had trouble finding topics to write on. There are only so many random facts sets, Supreme Court case analyses, and top five lists I can think up. After writing thirteen random facts sets, they have become boring to write and they require more research than most articles. After writing up ten Supreme Court case analyses, I am running out of notable cases and once again, losing interest. As for top 5 lists, they just take a very long time to write and research for; nowadays, time is not on my side. Therefore, my mind is blank when it comes to fresh topics. Then again, after writing over 230 articles, you begin to have trouble.

The reason why I am being honest with you about this is to show you a challenge of the freelance writing business. Sure, I have written a plethora of articles preaching the benefits and how it can used effectively to meet your needs. However, like every other writer on this website, I have hit a road block, just as some of you newcomers will hit. And as you run out of topics, you will be writing an article just like this one, just to get another new composition out on the website. It is a struggle, but as long as you don't give up, the motivation will come back later as time begins to free up. I know this will happen to me, as I have read from many other fellow article writers on this website. So, bare with me as I slow down for the next couple weeks. I'll come up with something new to write about in due time.

I too am finding it hard to think of things that would be suitable to post on here, but in my case it is for the simple reason that this website won't allow pictures embedded in the articles and the sorts of things I like writing about really need pictures.

It is true that picture is worth a thousand words... But it takes an amazing writer to take 1000 words and make the reader see a picture. That is something else to think about.

True, but there are many types of article where a picture or map or other illustration is quite simply essential. I can't imagine a travel article in a glossy magazine without at least one photograph of the place being described, and maybe a map showing where it is. I can't imagine an article describing how glorious the autumn colours are at, for example, Westonbirt Arboretum without a photograph or two of the trees at their best. I can't imagine an article of tips for Britons for their first time driving in France without illustrations of the most common French roadsigns. In many cases you need BOTH superbly descriptive text AND some good pictures. This site loses a lot of potential articles by not hosting illustrations.
