IT is commonly argued that,low income family have the potential of producing all sorts of social misfits. Perhaps, this sound true due to the fact that, most of the criminals in our prisons have their roots in the low income families. However, I would like to differ with this assumption. I am of opinion that,parental responsibility is the key to the development of stable family. Thus, in case of low income families, most lack the will to nature and protect their children. This can be attributed to the fact that,most parents in this group are either single or involved in illicit involvements such as prostitution or other acts which are unhealthy.

Diverse studies have established that, this scenario creates a situation where the parent is not in a position to stand for his/her children. And in most cases, this is fueled by lack of self dignity or hate which more than often is channeled towards the child who is seen as a bother. Typically,the given child will pick up the negative traits as exhibited by his/her parent,not the the child cannot lead a whole and healthy life,but the parental influences, early exposure to violence,deceit and lies forms a negative image of the society in his mind. Thus, it is instrumental,to understand that, protecting a child while in its formative stages is crucial in protecting the societal from future serial killers, sadists or rapists. Exploring the basic life of most low income families, it is paramount to recognize that, very few parents pay any attention to the principal of instilling discipline and social ethics to their children. This cannot be attributed to financial aspects, but rather it can only be said that,lack of will creates an environment of negligence hence, a society of criminals.

Therefore, the world needs parents who will stand up and guide their children to be responsible citizens, it is possible, the important issue is, not to run away from the reality.
