Elton John’s Fear For Son

The legendary British singer and songwriter Elton John has come out openly for the first time since the birth of his son Zachary to inform his fans and the world of his intense fear and worry over his son’s future.

According to the 65-year-old musician, he feels that the childhood period for his son is going to be one full of sadness and constant pain as the boy would inevitably face intense problems with homophobia, which is rapidly growing at an alarming rate all over the world. Elton John said that he worries that not only would his son, Zachary face homophobia problems but also he might also suffer on account of his father’s astonishing fame and fortune.

Despite all these fears, the famed British musician during his interview with Radio Times said that he was unnerved and is doing his best to prepare little Zachary for the harsh realities of this world. Elton John’s son Zachary was born on December 25, 2010. The media stepped on each other just to catch a glimpse of the baby boy then as this was an extraordinary event. Many things made the birth of Zachary interesting, considering the fact that that was Elton John’s first child and the fact that Zachary was conceived from a donor egg and through a surrogate mother. All these made Zachary’s birth a perfect recipe for headline news all over the world. Today Elton John’s son Zachary is 19 months old and the father is worried about his future.

According to the interview that Elton John had with Radio Times, he knows that someday when his son starts going to school, his friends and other kids at school would tease him extensively, saying things like he has no mother. Elton John expressed his worry about homophobia and hoped that in the next generation it can be totally wiped out. He believes that parents of today are instilling homophobia in their children and that is the reason the problem would keep growing. Elton John is at the moment with his civil partner David Furnish – both of whom are parents to little Zachary.
