Have you ever experienced, when rebelling against an existing idea, conformists would usually look at you with suspicious eyes, let alone down on you as if you came from another planet?  It's very frustrating when the aim is for the common good and you are derided.  This poem is dedicated to those similarly situated, who seem very few.  Thank you for reading.

Tides ebb and flow

much as life is,

measured by logic

and reason.

Conversations

delve into normal

discourse, natural

rhythm.

Lo, why do they

all behave lost,

when my tongue

go astray?

They're strapped to

normal conventions

like strait jackets.

They frown upon

the new-fangled

approach as quirk?

What is a "positive"

pole but relative,

and "negative"pole

the same according

to taste.

Good and evil is not

etched in granite,

except the more

popish than the Pope.

Your perspective I

grant to be good,

others regard diagonally

askew.

But a seer sees things

straight; and there's

the rub; for most will

wish fire and brimstone

to rain down on him,

for rubbing them the

wrong way, pun truly

intended.

Go ahead, then, the

prophet be crucified and

not to retreat back up

to Mount Olympus,

You're quite a frame,

as you ogle in utter

disbelief at this verse

of prophets you shoot

straight to the heart.
