How to protect your hair by following these steps routinely: your hair will stay looking fabulous, shiny, healthy, vibrant, and damage-free.

1 - Protect your hair

UV rays can harm your hair, fades its color, dries it out, and burns your scalp. This is why you should always use a special UV protection for your hair. This is the first essential step for routine care. Nowadays there are many products that give your hair a glossy effect. They do for your hair what the glosses do for your lips: make them bright. The tricologists recommend to protect your hair with a specific product. Look for styling products with a built-in sun protection factor (SPF). Avoid products containing alcohol, or any other substance that would dry out your hair. Although it is exposed to the sun during every season, protecting it from sun exposure is very important when you are on the beach. Do not forget to adequately protect your hair.

2 - Cover up

It’s your best line of defense in protecting your hair: get a good hat (wide-brimmed) if possible, or scarf that hides your hair from the sun. If your hair is short cover it with a bandana.

3 - The correct procedure

Your hair needs to be treated more gently during the summer. In the evening wash your hair with an after-sun shampoo. Use a specific mask to make it soft and rinse with fresh water to seal the hair cuticle and impart natural shimmer. Air dry whenever possible: do not use hot styling tools (blow dryers, hot irons, rollers).

4 - To be avoided

Do not change the color of your hair when you are on vacation. If you want to renew your hairstyle do it once you come back home. Take a break from heated styling products. Prevention is always the best action.

5 - Put a deep conditioner in your hair as a barrier

Apply a leave-in conditioner.if you can’t find hair products with sunscreen, It’will provide some protection from sun damage and instantly add back moisture and shine. Products are easy to spread on hair and really do offer more protection, especially for very damaged hair. Also you can use a thick, deeply hydrating oil: coconut oil, jojoba oil, sunflower oil, safflower oil. You can even try mixing a few oils together. These oils applied to the ends of your strands will work great on frizzy hair.
