Endermologie is a popular treatment for cellulite, even though there are those that say that it doesn't really work. This is the question we will answer in this article. Read it to see whether Endermologie is really effective.
What is Endermologie?
This is a non-invasive cosmetic procedure which targets cellulite affected body parts. Endermologie machines come equipped with special rollers that are placed on your skin. These rollers apply a deep tissue massage to your cellulite areas along with a suction. The goal is to redistribute the fat under your skin into a more even formation so the skin will look firm and smooth without any cellulite dimples. This doesn't burn any fat, simply shifts it.
Endermologie is a controversial treatment. On the one hand, it is approved by the FDA as a cellulite treatment. However, it is only approved as a temporary solution. On the other hand, there are studies and experts which state that Endermologie, as a whole, is overrated and that the results are not as impressive as some of the clinics which administer this procedure claim.
Does Endermologie Work?
Some claim that it does and there are positive testimonials from women who've had the procedure done on them. However, a study I read about which examined the results women got with this kind of treatment found that less than half felt that they had gotten any improvement. Those who did feel an improvement had before and after pictures taken which showed little measurable improvement.
Endermologie is not a one time thing. During the initial part of the treatment, you need to have weekly or bi-weekly sessions. Each of these sessions is likely to cost a minimum of $50 and often more. This is not a cheap procedure considering that you need at least 6 sessions to see any noticeable improvement and more to get to any impressive reduction in your cellulite. In fact, endermologie clinics usually state that you need to continue getting treated on a regular basis to maintain your results, so this is not a permanent solution.
Extra Facts
Endermologie does not stand alone. You need to do more things to make it work. This includes drinking a lot of water on a daily basis, following a healthy and lean diet plan, and exercising regularly. Not doing those things may make the overall treatment less effective, so this is not really an effortless solution.
You need to ask yourself whether you can afford this treatment over the long haul. Also ask yourself whether you believe the claims made about it. In the end, the decision is yours.
