There are so many people in the UK and people that I personally know that aspire to do nothing with there lives. When you ask them what they want to do they just shrug their shoulders and don’t really give you an answer.
They complain there are no jobs so they can’t find work, they don’t have any desire to return to education. Why would anyone be happy doing nothing all their lives except sitting around watching television or hanging out with their friends.
Yes life is tough but you only get out of it what you put in. So here is something I’ve found to be an excellent started point and it really does open up doors for other opportunities. Volunteering, helping out it your local community will not only get you doing something but it will also help you meet new people and make local connections.
Remember the easiest way to gain payed employment is through volunteering, as it helps build up your skills and confidence, and could lead to paid employment very easily, as I personally have discovered. Its never too late to try something new or go back to school. (Read my article on the 91 year old who graduated from university).
Ask your local council for contacts on colleges/ volunteering organizations and make a difference to your life.
