Rebecca Black the thirteen-year-old YouTube and teen sensation has been targeted by a series of death threats.
The police are presently investigating two death threats made against the thirteen-year-old girl over her hit music video entitled Friday.
The spokesman for the Anaheim police department said that the threats against Rebecca Black were aimed at getting her music off the internet. According to the police department either Rebecca Black gets her awful music off the internet or “they were going to kill her.” I was totally shocked when I heard this sad happening.

The music video in question is that which was uploaded on YouTube on February 10, 2011, which has now attracted more than 200 million views. The death threats instantly began after the song entitled ‘Friday’ became a YouTube hit and catapulted Rebecca Black into the limelight.
Anaheim police spokesman Mr. Rick Martinez said the police cannot validate the death threats on the thirteen-year-old but are taking it extremely seriously and would not leave any stone unturned until they find the person or persons behind the death threats.
Rebecca Black recently appeared on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, during which she performed the hated song ‘Friday’ and discussed with Jay Leno about the negative reaction and criticism that the song was receiving all over the world. According to her she finds all this very unfortunate and sad.

I honestly I’m not a fan of the song but I wonder why some people have decided to take things this far. If you do not like the song or the music video then don’t watch it or listen to it as simple as that. But why threaten to kill her? A big question I have asked myself over and over again.
The song ‘Friday’ has constantly received negative critical response since its release, with many music critics and viewers calling it the ‘worst song ever.’
But ironically it is this immense negative review and criticism of the song that has led to the music video going viral and making Rebecca Black to gain international attention.

I completely agree with you, people who don't like her shouldn't watch her video. I mean it's ok to say i don't like it, but we have to remember that this is an actual person with feelings, and a child on top of that!

The saddest part is that Rebecca is just a child. I couldn't believe my ears when i heard the news at first.
