We have all at some point in our lives experienced that feeling of being lost. We feel as though something is missing and we have a hard time filling that space. Sometimes we do not even know exactly what is missing. We just feel a big hole

During this time it may be extremely burdensome and painful to be searching for the truth about what is missing only to reach a dead end each and every time. You think positive thoughts but it does not satisfy you. You listen to your favourite song or watch your favourite movie but they provide only momentary pleasure... if any at all. It's like your life has been sucked away suddenly and you are running around in vain trying to get it back.

There are people who have been through this and come out on the other side better than ever. So what are they doing differently? What is their magic? Here are some things that they may be doing:

Thing # 1: Don't Fight Your Feelings
Don't push yourslef to not feel the emptiness or deppression you feel. Pretending the feeling does not exist is like trying to sail a boat like it's a calm day when it is the middle of a storm. Accept that you are feeling what you are feeling even though it is not what you want.

# 2: Define What you Want to Feel
This sounds simple enough. Maybe even too simple. You may think that just defining what you want to feel could never possibly solve the level of emptiness and deppresion you feel...Not after you have been trying everything you can think of.... Damn right! It makes absoloutely no sense! However, it works. It's magic. Try it.

Define it, whether it be happiness, bliss, calm etc. Just know what you want to feel, even if you are feeling the complete opposite at the moment. Just think of a time when you had that feeling and remember how it felt and think "That was cool...". Don't force yourself to feel it. Just think about it.

Thing # 3: Recognise When You Get What You Want
When the feeling you want comes to you recognise it. Think to yourself "THIS is exctly how I want to feel"
