Mobile phones have become an integral part of our lives. Think if suddenly you lost your mobile phone and you don’t have enough money to buy another one. Would life be the same for you without a mobile phone? Has mobile phone become your life partner? Is your mobile phone more than just a communication device for you? Could you live without mobile phone?

Mobile phone serves many other purposes than just being a communication device. Communication being the basic reason why people buy mobile phone, it is also used for internet surfing, playing games, listening and storing music, storage of data, business purposes and there might be many other uses of mobile phones depending on how much the user takes it seriously.

People may be seen with their mobile phones in hand, on roads, outside their offices, at homes and even in the toilets. Some keep their talking on their phones even during the security checks, buying tickets and paying the bills where paying concentration is very important.

Is a mobile phone so important that people can’t even eat without their mobile phones? Has communication become so important or is it just a bad habit. It might just be a habit but what disturbs the life can’t be a good habit. It might be important but if it grabs the attention that the others would have required it might be wrong.

Some might think the other way as they put business or professional liabilities above all. Whatever the truth be but another truth is that if there were no mobile phones people would live equally happy. There is none such thing as addiction. It is just that when a facility is available people like to have it. When the facility is gone people find other alternatives to it and keep their lives going. Life existed when there were no mobile phones and will exist when there would be none.

Great article! You've said all what's to be said about mobile phones, but I'd like to add up that it's people's toy. It seems to be more important than talking with people over a coffee and looking to the face. Mine's a very old-fashioned one -no Internet, no music and I deleted the games, because I found myself hoooked. I think I've one euro credit, but I keep it, because it could happen that I could get a call for a prospective job. Get me? Otherwise, I'm reasonably happy without it. Don't need the so popular Iphone 5.

I've had a mobile phone for a couple of years now. It's a great tool to have in case of emergencies, but I find that I mostly use it as a backup alarm clock.

right said, it is a great tool in emergencies particularly when you have to track someone in a crowd,

I agree with you. Excellent article. Thanks

I can manage without one. It's a convenience, not an essential, and often a day goes by when I don't use it at all.

i am practising on this one, earlier i couldn't live without one but now i have limited myself to such an extent that the phone is for recieving calls only
