We all hate house work but we love a clean house. There is an easier way so why stay inside cleaning when there are so many enjoyable things you had rather do? With this routine you can clean the easy way and save hours of your time. Instead of trying to do it all in one day, why not do a little every day and have more time for the things you like to do?
Try these efficient labor saving techniques to keep your house clean. It takes an hour or less a day and your house will always look spotless. Don’t try to do it all in a day. The routine is to do one chore every day. By doing certain things regularly you will be able to maintain your home much better. Starting on day one polish and dust all furniture and clean all glass surfaces.
On day two mop all floors. The third day vacuum all carpets. On the fourth day clean the bathrooms. On the fifth day clean all cobwebs, dust fans and wipe up any finger prints from doors and walls. It’s a given that someone cleans the kitchen after every meal, wiping up any spills and wiping down counters and surfaces.
Place mats both inside and outside the door and have the family take off their shoes when they come inside. This simple routine will make vacuuming much easier. If you have a dog, wipe off his feet at the door.
Everyone should wipe up toothpaste from bathroom sinks so it doesn’t harden and wipe down walls of shower. Keep a squeegee near or use the towel after drying off. Have the last person who uses the bathroom sink wipe it out. You can use old toweling or cotton tee shirts for wipers. Keep a container under the sink for these.
You don’t need expensive cleaners. Soap, vinegar, baking soda and hydrogen will clean just about everything and it does no harm to the environment. Plain water will do a lot of cleaning all by its self. To clean the microwave, fill a small bowl with water and microwave it a few minutes. The steam will soften up any splatters and you can wipe it up.
While the oven is hot after baking, fill a container with water and vinegar and place in the oven. When cool wipe out the steamy oven. If you have a dried spill in the refrigerator, wet a dishcloth and place it over the spill. Close the door and open it after several minutes to wipe it up.
De clutter everything and the house will automatically look tidy. Clear off counters. Items that you don’t use often can go on top of cabinets or if your cabinets reach the ceiling, place them on the highest shelves. If you have items that you hardly ever use, take them to the basement or garage shelves.
If you have an empty drawer use to to stash mail or use a hanging basket. Mount hooks for back packs, purses, keys and coats. If at all possible use a cabinet with doors for computers, printers and files. Follow this routine and you can have the weekend off from general cleaning. Just a quick swipe will be enough.

A good idea! I use a lot of fresh lemons for cleaning as they are free from my tree. On enthusiastic cleaning days it smells great in my house. I do think your one chore a day routine would work well for me in the searing heat of summer.
Thanks. Now I gained some knowledge how to manage the cleaning process efffectively.
