Kiss me—full on the mouth! Yes! For your love is better than wine, headier than your aromatic oils. The syllables of your name murmur like a meadow brook. No wonder everyone loves to say your name! Take me away with you! Let's run off together! An elopement with my King-Lover! We'll celebrate, we'll sing, we'll make great music. Yes! For your love is better than vintage wine.
Everyone loves you—of course! And why not? Song of Songs 1:2-4

My dear Grace, this has much more to do with physical intimacy. This is about radical heart to heart intimacy, that releases the fragrance of his heart to you. Not only will he help to release the amazing love in your heart to him, but he will be so ravished by your presence, in his life the aroma of love towards you will be released from him, in ways you never even dreamed.

“Take me away” she says. This is about a love that drives you to partnership in all areas of life. This is about divine oneness that comes through marriage.

Also, “Everyone loves you—of course! And why not?” look for how people respond to this man. More good should be spoken of him, than ill things. If people express a genuine liking and love for the man, more often than not, you know that you have found a real gem of a man. A man is valued by what others have to say about him. Look for real genuineness in what people speak of him and not just the pretense of people being kiss ups, because they want to be in his good graces. Even when he messes up and even offends people, people should have good things to say about how he handles mess ups and offenses.
