It is always good to have a comparison of cars to choose from, and I can tell you for a fact that if you are reading this, you are wondering which of these choices is the best for you. I have chosen three industry standard sedans to compare for you that could become your choice of car for the next many years to come. I have done some research on all of these models and established a table below to compare the hard facts and data that are important to many car consumers. The three cars I have chosen to compare are three of the most well-made and cheapest models out there currently: the 2012 Kia Rio, the 2012 Toyota Corolla, and the 2012 Nissan Sentra.

Comparison of Cars
Base Price (Starting Price w/ No Additions) MPG (Miles per Gallon) Engine Specs Drivetrain Transmissions Available Emission Rating
2012 Kia Rio $13,600

30 mpg city

40 mpg highway

6 Speed Automatic

2012 Toyota Corolla $16,130

27 mpg city

34 mpg highway

1.8 Liter 4-Cylinder Front Wheel Drive

5 Speed Manual

4 Speed Automatic

Ultra Low Emission Vehicle II (ULEV-II)
2012 Nissan Sentra $16,430

24 mpg city

31 mpg highway

In my opinion, I would go with the Kia Rio in this situation. The car's base price is $3,000 cheaper than the Toyota Corolla and the Nissan Sentra and still gets much better gas mileage than either. However, if engine size and power is your game, then the Nissan Sentra would be the best choice. However, looking at the comparison I have built up, I would say that the Rio gives you more bang for your buck than either of the other choices. The Toyota Corolla's emission rating is the only thing going for it, but Toyota also has a very good reputation for well made cars. However, in the end, the decision is up to you.
