Bearded Collie Happy Dogs

Bearded Collie Dog Breed. This is a medium sized dog. They have a big double coat over their whole body. These dogs are also referred to as “Beardies” They can come in many different colors. They are a very happy dogs. They are very wonderful with children and babies. They like to be around their owner all the time too. They will be your best friend. They are very loyal dogs.

These dogs are normally 19 to 24 inches tall and weigh 35-75pounds. This breed does get hip dyplasia very easily even though they are a medium sized breed. This dog will probably need more exercise then it would get in an apartment. They are very active and need a long walk everyday or two shorter walks. If you are planning to leave the dog home by itself you are best to take the dog for a long walk before you leave so they don’t get into trouble while you are gone. They will do better if you get them obedience training so they can be much better behaved dogs.

Their life expectancy is 13-18 years old. They have that big coat and it does need brushed everyday so keep that in mind. Give them a bath also when needed because things will tend to get stuck in their coats because they have so much hair. They can go outside in any kind of weather and are not sensitive to it. These are great loving and playful dogs. Bearded collies are very great dogs.
