Writing articles for a living is one of the hardest mental work and stressful jobs because it requires laser attention to the detail and there is no margin for mistakes, much like surgery.

1. You should never check your email or your Facebook account while you are writing. This will kill momentum and make you relax too much and it takes a few minutes before you focus again. If you have email to check you should do it only after finish the work you are currently doing. Facebook checks should be banned unless you use Facebook for business and you need to reply to costumers. Even so you should do it no more than an hour a day.

2. You should never stop working to check the birds outside or any other distraction. Remember, this is your job, even when you do it from home, and if you are not giving 100% all the time, your reputation and income will suffer. Even though you cannot be fired, you may find yourself working really slow to be profitable.

3. You should never have any communication system opened so you can check your friends and family. Remember, the less the amount of time you have for them, the more they will value you, all the time.
