Most online users keen on earning a steady income post articles on various article writing sites. They get paid either upfront or for views generated depending on the site(s)...However, it does provide a steady income to those who write articles regularly !

Some helpful tips

Ideally an article should have between 500 - 750 words and not extend beyond that .Most people find it tedious and laborious to go through a very lenghthy article for obvious reasons - lack of time and patience ! The outer limit regarding the length of an article should not go beyond 1000 words. Taking a personal example - Initially ,when I started writing articles , I was understandably very enthusiastic and would collect a lot of material on various subjects that interested me, so that I could write a lengthy article later.

One such article I wrote had nearly 1600 words and I sent the link to my online friends and others.The response however was luke warm - most said that the article was great,very informative , well presented etc, but, so far have skiimed through it , since it was too long , waiting for an opportune moment to go through it ! I felt that it defeated the very purpose of writing an article which is that it should be eye catching and to be read at once.

The article should be able to bring in readers or viewers instead of intimidating them .When people browse for information on line and come across articles they want it to provide crisp and to the point information instead of rambling on and on !

However,one can always use any and all the information collected on any subject . When we collect a lot of information on a subject, we can make certain adjustments in the presentation and write 2-3 or 4 articles depending on how much material we have collected. I have done it with excellent response.

One should try to use interesting phrases and experiment with new words while writing an article.The package is important while posting an article especially when you are paid upfront, since that is your only income. Adding relevant pictures, and additional interesting information about the subject you are writing about makes the article that much more interesting.

Format,Paragraphs,Sub Titles,and of course the Subject Matter all carry weight while writing an article.Where it is a question of getting paid for views, one has to promote the article on a daily basis with the available tools to get more views.It does make a difference when you do so and one can immediately see a jump in the daily earnings.

Lastly, As and one you feel the need keep aditing and add on to your article even after it gets published.It certainly helps to improvise whether you get paid for your efforts or not ..
