Newspaper headlines are not complete without images.
Magazines don't publish work of authors, without illustrations.
And I submit that Expertscolumn is not complete without pictures in the columns its authors that publish them.
I know it's extra revenues to infuse there, but what the heck, the return of investment is surely well worth it, especially if the site is to be made physically attractive to the new owners? What is paramount is, the writers are most benefitted, and ultimately, the readers.
So if there's a will to do it, to incorporate images and videos into our column, the time is ripe for the administrator to do it NOW instead of the new administrator gaining credit for that. I do not mean that I cherish the thought of Nik clinching the sale, however!
The fact is, Expertscolumn, must somehow, embrace the idea of having these features of images and videos being a final mainstay in the work of us authors.
And Nik cannot forever dispel this overwhelming clamour. Because should he decide to remain at the helm, amid the auction he set in motion, he will have ultimately gave in to this long standing request by the majority of writers, no doubt.
Why not accede to those requests now?

I agree with you, as some columns are incomplete without images. The administrator Mr.Nikhil Mahajan can do that very easily, as adding support to images is only a couple of clicks away ( I can say that as I had been running a website with the same platform as Expertscolumn is running and I know the developmental aspects needed) In spite of the ease at which the site administrator can implement our needs, he is not doing that. This implies there are some factors that prevents him from doing that.
1. Server load. The administrator was even forced to withdraw the chat functionality due to server load. Even though saving and serving images doesn't contribute much to the server load, it can add up considering the huge number of columns the site is having and the huge number of views the columns are receiving.
2. Possible copyright issues. Even the site can get banned(as there was an instance where we were complaining to google about plagiarism of the website funolia).
3. Chance of misuse. People may write columns with no serious writing but a bunch of copyright protected photos.
I think these could be the reasons that prevented Mr.Nikhil Mahajan from implementing a most wanted but simple feature.
You are correct, my new friend Rana. But those issues didn't deter websites that allow images and videos, like Triond and Wikinut, from continuing that format, regardless of the risks of copyright issues. The best that can be done is not to disallow uploading images but ban authors infringing on copyrights. Thanks for your valuable comment, and pleased to meet you here.:)
True but to support images would mean that more storage and bandwidth is needed which will increase the cost and reduce your revenue. So is it worth the trade off?
But I magine that would more than be offset by the resurgence of even more traffic? As I've said, if less earning sites like Wiki and Triond could keep those features, why couldn't EC try it? Thanks for your input, Strovek. Much appreciated.
Hope your request won't fall on deaf ears.
I sure hope it doesn't, my friend.
If we repeat it often enough, we might get it. Maybe.
This is a follow up on an earlier column. I hope we get it. Thanks, Bruce.
